Henrietta Powell and Monique Washington were part of the crew at Delaware State on Saturday; Powell served as head linesman, while Washington was a line judge.
“Henrietta and Monique earned their way to be selected as MEAC officials by their professional competencies and high performance on the field,” MEAC Commissioner Dennis E. Thomas said. “The MEAC has long championed gender equity in athletics, including on the football field, and we are proud to play a role in this latest step to advance women who are qualified to officiate.”
