With Tulane currently stationed in Alabama amid the aftermath of Hurricane Ida slamming Louisiana, it is likely that Morgan State will be impacted, too.
Tulane was scheduled to open the regular season playing host to No. 2 Oklahoma in New Orleans this Saturday. That football game, however, was moved to Norman when Tulane was forced to abandon its campus with Ida bearing down on the state.
The Green Wave has found a temporary residence in Birmingham and is expected to make camp there for the next several weeks, according to Sports Illustrated.
Tulane officials told the magazine that the program was preparing to play home games at Legion Field, the one-time home of the SWAC Championship Game, while New Orleans attempts to recover from the storm.

That means the Sept. 11 Tulane-Morgan State game will be played in Birmingham, though an official announcement has not been made.
On Monday, Morgan State head coach Tyrone Wheatley indicated he was uncertain about whether the non-conference matchup would be impacted by Hurricane Ida.
“We don’t know just yet,” said Wheatley. “Just out of respect for them, we want to let things unfold. As I know of now, I would say the game is on until otherwise.”
